Visiting the Fort Worth area or just looking for the best hikes around the area?! Check out our hiking list for 5 great hikes around Fort Worth for families. These would be great to check off some of the hikes in our 52 Hike Challenge.   

  1. Eagle Mountain Lake Park – This hike offers stunning views of the Fort Worth skyline and offers a variety of trails for all skill levels. The park also features a lake, playgrounds, and picnic areas.
  2. Trinity Trails – This system of trails winds through Fort Worth and offers over 40 miles of hiking and biking paths. The trails offer great views of the Trinity River and are a popular spot for locals and visitors alike.
  3. Tandy Hills Natural Area – This natural area offers 160 acres of hiking trails, wildflowers, and birdwatching opportunities. It’s a great spot for a nature escape within the city limits of Fort Worth.
  4. River Legacy Parks – This large park system offers over 1,300 acres of hiking trails, picnic areas, and playgrounds. The parks also feature a science center and an arboretum.
  5. Lake Worth – This hike takes you around the lake and offers great views of the water. The lake also features a beach and a fishing pier, making it a great spot for a family outing.
